Instrument for Studying the Oxygen Transport in Capillaries

چکیده

A possibility has been studied of the process oxygen transfer to tissues through capillaries. Oxymetry principle is applied at microscopic level. prototype device designed and manufactured based on a measuring microscope spatially high-definition videocamera. Proposed illumination schematic. The instrument structure described including its parts, as well idea image processing, latter being acquired in different sections spectrum. In studies, narrow-band was used regions spectral lines 527 nm, 585 650 that were selected by interference filters with transmission bandwidths 10-12 nm.

A novel instrument for studying the flow behaviour of erythrocytes through microchannels simulating human blood capillaries.

A novel instrument has been developed to study the microrheology of erythrocytes as they flow through channels of dimensions similar to human blood capillaries. The channels are produced in silicon substrates using microengineering technology. Accurately defined, physiological driving pressures and temperatures are employed whilst precise, real-time image processing allows individual cells to b...

the search for the self in becketts theatre: waiting for godot and endgame

this thesis is based upon the works of samuel beckett. one of the greatest writers of contemporary literature. here, i have tried to focus on one of the main themes in becketts works: the search for the real "me" or the real self, which is not only a problem to be solved for beckett man but also for each of us. i have tried to show becketts techniques in approaching this unattainable goal, base...

Oxygen delivery through capillaries.

During physical exertion the consumption rate increases and some cells suffer from the lack of oxygen. The time-wise evolution of hypoxia is analyzed mathematically under the condition the perfusion of each capillary is constant. The domain used contains multiple non-homogeneous capillaries of different solute out. Cells surrounding capillaries may consume or preserve more oxygen than are neces...
